Heat Transfer

Heat transfer liquids are used to support process operations for nylon (Nylon 6 and Nylon 6‚6) or special polymer operations (such as poly oriented yard and polyester staple). These heat transfer liquids in the textile industry are typically mineral based‚ but can also be synthetic. In instances where synthetic oils are used they are specially designed to reduce volatiles and degradation.

In all instances‚ the goal of heat transfer is to move thermal energy from the heating source to the heat requiring process in a uniform and efficient manner; said another way‚ it put heat energy into the process. Centrifugal pumps types designed to handle the elevated temperatures of process liquids are the recommended pump type.
