Calendaring

The calendar process is used to make the paper appear surface extra smooth and glossy. Super rolls apply high pressure and heat to the manufactured paper. The pressure and heat of the calendar presses the paper into its final stage for packing.

The high pressure calendars are supported with a CIRCOR high pressure pump such as the CIG. The CIG is capable of supporting pressures up to 5‚000 psi.

Also‚ it is common to have the calendar process supported with heated synthetic oil. This heated oil is typically pumped with a hot oil pump‚ such as the Allweiler branded AllHeat.
