Pump Selector Guide

With their ability to efficiently handle high viscosity liquids, deliver a nearly constant volume and respond to changes in demand and conditions, positive displacement pumps might be the efficient, reliable solution you're looking for.

Please check all that apply

Does the fluid contain solids or sludge?
Is the fluid viscosity greater than 10cst and/or is energy efficiency a consideration in pump selection?
Is constant flow more important than constant pressure in your application? (e.g., loading or unloading tankers)
Does your application have low NPSHa? Or during your process will NPSHa drop?
Does your application contain entrained gas, gaseous liquids or high amount of dissolved gas? Or will gas form easily in your fluid if the suction pressure drops?
Is your fluid shear sensitive or is there a filtration or separation process downstream of the pump which is sensitive to a high shear pumping action?
Is your application considered a low flow/high head hydraulic?
Do you need to completely drain or empty a pipeline or tank (i.e., stripping application)? Or does the pump need to run dry at the end of a pump cycle?
Does the pump need to handle multiple fluid types with varying viscosity and fluid densities?
None of the above

This guide is intended solely for initial guidance on pump type consideration. Guaranteed recommendations on pump selection can only be provided upon detailed application engineering review incorporating all known specifications and process conditions.
